Happy Tuesday Academy Families! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend with your Family. Our week is already off to a busy start here at The Academy of Westhaven! The littles have enjoyed Critter Painiting, and then today they did a Jumping Jelly Beans activity.
The month of April is Autism Awareness Month! We were so excited to help bring awareness by having all of our Teachers and Littles wear Blue. During the month of April, we continue our efforts to spread awareness, promote acceptance, and ignite change in our community! Over 3.5 million Americans live with Autism and 1 in 68 children have autism. “Autism isn’t a tragedy, ignorance is the tragedy.” It’s so important to see what Littles affected by Autism CAN do, instead of what they can’t. Watching them learn and break the boundaries. Autism might be life changing, but it’s not life defining. 💙
