🎄Book Exchange and Christmas Parties🎄
🎄Book Exchange and Christmas Parties🎄
This December, our preschoolers got into the holiday spirit with a festive Book Exchange and Christmas Party! The excitement was in the air as the children arrived with wrapped books, eager to share and receive a new story to enjoy at home.
The Book Exchange was a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading and the joy of giving. Each child picked a book from the beautifully wrapped collection, with big smiles and a sense of surprise as they unwrapped their special story.
After the exchange, the celebration continued with a magical Christmas Party. The children enjoyed holiday-themed games, made creative crafts, and sang cheerful carols. A highlight of the day was decorating cookies with colorful icing and sprinkles, which were as fun to make as they were to eat!
Our little ones left with happy hearts, new books to read, and memories of a holiday celebration filled with laughter and togetherness. Thank you to all the families who helped make this event so special. We wish you a joyful holiday season!

🚂🎄Polar Express Day🎄🚂
🚂🎄Polar Express Day🎄🚂
This week, our preschool transformed into a winter wonderland for our magical Polar Express Day! Each child began their journey with a special golden ticket to board the "train" and step into the enchanting world of the beloved story.
Dressed in their cozy pajamas, the children settled in to watch The Polar Express together, complete with the ultimate movie treat popcorn! The room was filled with giggles, wide eyes, and plenty of wonder as the adventure unfolded on screen.
As the day came to a close, each child received a special silver bell a symbol of belief and holiday magic. We reminded them that the bell rings for all who truly believe, and the excitement on their faces was unforgettable!
It was a day filled with warmth, joy, and the spirit of the season. We hope this magical memory stays with our littles for years to come. Thank you for sharing your amazing kiddos with us—they truly made this Polar Express Day extra special!

🎄Christmas Tree Sculptures🎄
🎄Christmas Tree Sculptures🎄
Happy Monday Academy of Westhaven Families! I hope that you are all enjoying the busy Holiday season so far.
Last week, the holiday spirit was in full swing as our little artists transformed into holiday decorators, crafting edible Christmas Tree Sculptures! Using ice cream cones as their base, the children brought their creative visions to life with vibrant frosting and an assortment of colorful candies.
Each child had the freedom to decorate their "tree" just the way they liked. From sprinkles to gummy stars and chocolatey ornaments, no two trees were the same. It was a delight to watch their imaginations take over as they piped frosting "garland" and carefully placed their candy "decorations."
The results were nothing short of spectacular! The children beamed with pride as they admired their unique creations, showcasing a delightful mix of creativity, focus, and fine motor skills. These sweet sculptures were a fun and festive way to celebrate the season, and we couldn’t be more proud of the amazing work they did.
We hope this activity brought a little extra joy to your holiday season, and we encourage you to ask your little one all about their decorating experience—it’s sure to be a fun (and sweet) story! Check out the fun below! :)

🦃🧡Turkey Trot: A Gobbling Good Time!🧡🦃
🦃🧡Turkey Trot: A Gobbling Good Time!🧡🦃
This week, our preschoolers took part in our annual Turkey Trot race, and what a fun-filled event it was! Excitement filled the air as children lined up, proudly wearing their handmade turkey hats and ready to run their little hearts out.
The course, set up around the playground, offered plenty of cheering spots for teachers and friends. Each child gave it their all, showing off not only their running skills but also the perseverance and teamwork they’ve been learning in class. Laughter and encouragement were everywhere as students trotted, jogged, and sometimes waddled their way to the finish line.
At the end of the race, we took the time reminding all of the littles that the most important part is having fun and doing their best. We wrapped up the day with a cozy celebration featuring festive music and a turkey-themed snack.
Thank you to all our teachers for organizing such a fantastic event, and to our families for supporting our little trotters. We’re so proud of each and every one of our students, they truly made this Turkey Trot a day to remember!
