🌈Fizzy Rainbow Science🌈
Happy Monday Academy of Westhaven Families! We have had the best week with all of our sweet littles, and can’t believe that we are in the last week of March! We stayed busy last week with Recyled Art, Nature Sun-Catchers and more. The littles loved getting messy and that the weather was warm enough for them to explore and see all of the new blooms and the trees filling back in! 🌸
One of our favorite activities was our Fizzy Rainbow Science Experiment! It was another great way to build our fine motor skills and discover color theory as well. They loved this activity because they got to be hands on and explore with their senses-touching it, hearing it and smelling it.
All of the littles were provided with a container of Baking Soda, Vinegar with food coloring and pipettes. The littles were so engaged as they chose the color of vinegar they wanted and then listened to the chemical reaction as they dropped the vein what into the baking soda. It was so neat as our activity developed to see the colors begin to mix as well. This is such a wonderful activity as our littles are developing the proper grip for hand writing in such a fun way! Check out some of the action below.
