Exploring Coconuts

Today the classes were given coconuts and told to crack them open to see what was inside! Some of the teachers didn't have an easy time opening them, so it was funny to see all the teachers trying to smash the coconuts open with hammers and screw drivers. While the teachers were hammering away, though, the kids talked about coconuts and what they knew about them. Eventually the kids were able to touch and smell the coconuts. Coconuts were a great topic of conversation today!
