Happy Tuesday Academy of Westhaven Families! We are so happy to be back with all of our littles after a long weekend. On Friday we all went #BacktoSchool and we had the best time loving on our teachers and getting to attend workshops on how to be the best we can be each day for your littles and families! While at conference The Academy of Westhaven won the award for Best of Summer Program, as well as Ms. Brittany being named Program Coordinator of the Year! We are so thankful to have had such amazing opportunities with each of our littles this summer, it’s truly one we won’t forget!
This week we are excited to bring all we learned back into the classroom as we jump into our Frogstreet Curriculum. To kick off the fun we created a Back to School Sensory Bin! The littles absolutely loved it! We filled it with all things back to school. We had small metal school buses, magnetic alphabet letters and magnetic wands! It was such a wonderful tool to use for letter and color recognition. The littles loved spelling out their names, or finding the first letter of their friends name. It was such a fun activity that the littles built upon. They enjoyed sorting the letters and singing wheels on the bus. They spent so much time exploring and creating new fun with the sensory bins, we can’t wait to bring them out again. Check out the fun below!
