🎃Save the Pumpkins Activity🎃
Happy Tuesday (and Happy November) Academy of Westhaven Families! I can’t believe that October is already over, but what an amazing month PACKED full of fun and the sweet memories we made. 🧡
This week we had a brand new activity called Save the Pumpkins! The littles LOVED this fine motor game and couldn’t wait to do it again and again. We found these amazing Pumpkin erasers and just knew that there had to be a fun activity that we could use them for. When we found this one, we couldn’t wait to show the littles. This activity is so perfect for building those hand muscles to prepare for handwriting and is so easy to adapt for any age. It was a fun way to help our littles work on those pencil grips to “Save the Pumpkins from the Lava” because everything is about Lava with our sweet littles. 😂 We went in pairs to add in a little competition. We gave each little their own container and pair of tongs to prepare to save the pumpkins. The littles were all set and ready to go and they did such an amazing job! It was so fun to see the different ways each little started the process vs. how they ended. This was such a great way to build their hand eye coordination as well. At the end when all the pumpkins had been saved, each littles counted the amount of pumpkins in their container (which also helped with their math skills). Overall this activity had it all. The littles loved it and we can’t wait to bring it back out with a different theme. Check out all the fun below!
