Happy Monday Academy of Westhaven Families! We are so excited to start off the year with our school family. We have so many fun and exciting activities and special guests planned to make this the best year at The Academy of Westhaven yet!
We recently did a Polar Animal feeding Activity and it was a favorite right off the bat. Equipped with tiny hands and big imaginations, our pint-sized adventurers were introduced to a hands-on learning experience that combined sensory exploration, fine motor skills development, and a touch of Arctic animal magic.
The littles eyes widened with wonder as they saw polar bears, penguins, and seals eagerly awaiting their snack. With their tiny fingers ready for action, the little ones were handed small, bite-sized treats resembling fish and snowflakes. The challenge? Feed these delectable treats to the awaiting Arctic creatures. The activity not only engaged their fine motor skills but also sparked their creativity as they imagined themselves in the frosty Arctic, caring for these lovable animals. Laughter filled the room as our littles carefully navigated their snacks towards the open mouths of their paper companions. The joy on their faces was infectious, and the sense of accomplishment!
This activity was more than just play; it was a purposeful educational experience. The Polar Animal Feeding Fine Motor Activity helped our little ones refine their hand-eye coordination, practice pincer grip, and enhance their cognitive skills through imaginative play. Check out the fun below!
