🏕️CAMP ACADEMY WEEK🏕️
This past week, AOW went on an exciting camping adventure that our little campers will remember for years to come! Each day was filled with unique activities designed to spark joy, creativity, and a sense of camaraderie. We had Special Guest, got messy, and most importantly, made so many memories! Here’s a day-by-day recap of our unforgettable camping week:
Poolside Movie Monday
We kicked off our week with a splash on Poolside Movie Monday! Our campers floated on inflatable pool floats, basking in the sun and enjoying the cool water. As we gathered around the pool to watch "Moana." The kids were mesmerized by the adventurous tale of Moana and her journey. It was a perfect way to start our week, combining relaxation with a touch of magic.
Tie Dye Tuesday
Tuesday was a burst of color with Tie Dye Tuesday! Each child received a white t-shirt to transform into a vibrant masterpiece. With an array of dye colors and endless design possibilities, our little artists let their imaginations run wild. The joy and excitement on their faces as they saw their creations come to life was priceless. By the end of the day, our campsite was a rainbow all of their hard work!
Camp Wars Wednesday
Wednesday brought out the competitive spirit in everyone with Camp Wars! Our campers participated in a variety of relay races and fun challenges. The day was packed with laughter and high energy. The children worked together, cheered each other on, and celebrated every victory, big or small. Camp Wars brought out the competitive side of our campers, but also showed them the importance of having fun and trying their best.
Tasty Thursday
No camping experience is complete without delicious treats, and Tasty Thursday was all about satisfying our sweet tooth. We gathered around the campfire (safely simulated, of course) to make s’mores. The kids loved roasting marshmallows and assembling their gooey, chocolatey snacks. It was a delightful day filled with sticky fingers and happy faces. The joy of sharing food and stories around the "campfire" brought everyone closer together.
Water Wars Friday!
We ended our week with a splash during Water Wars Friday! Armed with water balloons and squirt guns, our campers and teachers engaged in an epic water battle. Laughter and squeals of delight filled the air as everyone got thoroughly soaked. It was the perfect way to cool down and wrap up our camping week with a fun and refreshing activity!
As our campers prepared to head home, we had one final surprise for them: flashlights! These were given as reminders of their camping adventure, so they will always remember there is no camp like Camp Academy!
Our preschool camping week was a tremendous success, thanks to the enthusiasm and participation of our wonderful campers and teachers. Each day was filled with joy, learning, and unforgettable memories. We’re already looking forward to next year’s camping week and the new adventures it will bring!
