Happy Tuesday Academy of Westhaven Families! We are so happy for another amazing week with all of our littles! We’ve been busy with all the fun winter activities, and fun snacks too! We got to take home our very own Magic Snow, we had Winter Sensory Bins and then had a yummy Build a Snowman snack!
One of our favorites was when we got to go Ice Fishing! First we learned all about real Ice Fishing and how normally you would drill a hole in the ice that is over the lake you are fishing from. We talked all about how the water underneath still stays the same temperature so the fish don’t freeze as well. After our quick lesson we got to try it out for ourselves. We had plenty of fish and fishing poles for everyone to be able to get in on the fun. The littles enjoys practicing to cast out their line and building those cognitive and fine motor skills as they reeled in their catch! It was so fun to see the excitement and joy on their face as they caught each fish and placed it in their net. It was a great way to sort sized, colors and also any fish that matched!
