🌈Fizzy Rainbow Science🌈
Happy Tuesday Academy of Westhaven Families! It’s another wonderful week here at AOW. We are in the full swing of welcoming spring and the warmer weather. We had so much fun last week with St. Patrick’s Day and setting our Leprechaun Traps for our silly Leprechaun! We didn’t catch him, but he did leave behind a few funny tricks like turning our milk green and left behind his foot prints. The littles loved it and are so excited to try to catch him again.
The fun has already started this week with our Fizzy Rainbow Science activity! This is the perfect afternoon activity for all ages. Our Toddlers all the way to Pre-K had so much fun watching the different colors and reactions.
The activity was super easy to set up as we only needed a few ingredients kept around the house. We used Baking Soda, Vinegar, a Pipette, and a few plastic cups. We first placed our Baking Soda in our cups, and in added the Food Coloring. After that we’re all set to begin our experiment! The littles each took turns dropping Vinegar into the Baking Soda/Food Coloring mixture and were amazed as they watched the Baking Soda and Vinegar combine together to create a fizzy rainbow eruption!
This was such an easy activity to repeat so that all of the littles got a turn and they had such a great time with it. Check out the fun below!
