Recycled Art
Happy Tuesday Academy of Westhaven families! We are so thankful to start another beautiful week with all of our littles. We are soaking up all the sunshine and warmer weather.
This week is already off to a great start with our Seed Science Experiment and Hidden Colors activities.
We were excited to start our Green our Scene program and all of the fun ways that we can make a difference for our Earth. We started out with creating our very own Recycling Station and we were so thankful for all the ways helped fill it up so quickly! We then used all of the recycled materials to create fun art projects. Each classroom got to choose what they wanted to do with their recycled materials and each of them were so creative! Preschool 3 decided to do some process art and used the cardboard egg cartons to create Caterpillars. Each of the littles got to paint their caterpillars and then choose the details of the eyes, mouth and antennae. They were all so proud and were so excited to show off their creations. Preschool 2 chose the Newspaper and made Newspaper Hats for everyone! All of the littles thought it was the best thing ever and were full of the sweetest goggles as they looked at themselves in the mirror.
