🥚🌸Erupting Eggs🌸🥚
Happy Wednesday Academy of Westhaven families! We are right in the middle of an amazing week filled with all the fun spring activities and special guest! We’ve had a Jelly Bean guessing jar for a fun prize, the Easter Bunny came for a visit, we still have our Egg Hunts tomorrow and then we got to do a super fun science experiment of Erupting Eggs!
This was the first time that we tried this activity and I knew right away it was going to be a favorite. We gathered all of our materials and were excited to start our project. I used a dozen plastic eggs and was then able to fill them about halfway with baking soda and food coloring of my choice. Some of the eggs I color coordinated the dye with while I wanted to mix it up on others to make the experiment more interesting for the littles. After I had all of the Eggs prepared I took them along with some vinegar and plastic cups to start the fun!
We poured a small amount of vinegar into each cup and each should got to choose an egg that they wanted and drop it into the cup of vinegar and the eggs erupted with foam and color! The littles were so excited and were guessing which color each egg was going to be. They are already asking to do it again. Check out the fun below!
