We are thrilled to share the exciting events of our Olympic-themed week at The Academy of Westhaven. The children had an incredible time participating in a variety of activities that brought the spirit of the Olympics right into our center!
We kicked off the week with an opening ceremony parade! The little ones proudly marched around the playground, waving their homemade flags and cheering each other on. It was a wonderful way to set the tone for a week full of fun and friendly competition.
Our Olympic ribbon dancing event was a hit! Each child had the chance to express themselves through movement, twirling colorful ribbons to music. The joy on their faces as they danced was simply contagious, and they all discovered the beauty of creative expression.
The highlight of the week was our mini Olympic Games! The children participated in a series of fun and age-appropriate events, including bean bag toss, relay races, and an obstacle course. It was heartwarming to see them cheer each other on and celebrate everyone's achievements.
We wrapped up the week with our very own Olympic award ceremony. Each child received a special medal, and we made sure to celebrate the effort and sportsmanship they showed throughout the week.
To top off the celebrations, the children enjoyed a special Olympic snack: Fruit by the Foot and golden Oreo "Gold Medals." It was the perfect way to end a week full of excitement, teamwork, and memories.
